All registered drivers must have a current NASA membership.(available for purchase through your NASA profile - $79 for the year). HPDEIf you are interested in learning the basics of High PerformanceDriving or simply want to drive your car on a racetrack in a controlled andprofessionally staffed environment, then NASA’s High Performance Driving Eventis for you. NASA HPDE gives you a chance to test your skills and learn fromNASA's pool of experienced instructors at a venue designed for safe, spiriteddriving far away from the risks present on the street. Our HPDE program hasbecome the standard for the 'open track' industry and features multiple skilllevels to ensure that you are able to enjoy a safe and fun day at the track. HPDE 1: If you've never been on track before orwould like to be guaranteed an instructor, sign up for HPDE 1. We do not renttransponders for HPDE 1. Selecting the HPDE 1 option automatically assigns youan instructor. Please do not select the instructor option. No passengers willbe permitted in this group other than your instructor. HPDE 2: Drivers that have been signed off todrive on their own but want more time at HPDE 1 speeds and skill level. So,Group 2 is Group 1, but with no instructor assignment. We do not renttransponders for HPDE 2. No passengers will be permitted in this group. HPDE 3: Saturday will work up to additionalpassing by the end of the day. Sunday will be a continuation, starting withlimited passing and then picking up pace and passing areas in subsequentsessions. This should better prepare drivers for Group 4. Sunday only entrantsshould be aware of this. Passengers may be permitted in this group if you havebeen approved by the HPDE leader. All passengers must be 18 years of age orolder.
