ET Drags & Hot Summer Nights Cruise - In
Wed, Aug 12th – Wed, Sep 30th (4:00pm – 10:00pm, Wednesdays), 2026ET drag racing on the 1/8th mile. Race for points and purse, with a chance to win a track championship and represent PIR at the divisional finals. Classes from juniors to Super Pro every week, with points and purse. Admission: $15 adults, Kids (6-12) $10 and 5 & under Free.Race Cards Range From $35 to $60 to race. Gates open at 4 p.m. with first timed runs around 5:00, eliminations around 7 p.m. This is great bracket racing, with competitors dialing in a time. This means staggered starts and always close finishes at the top end. Family friendly event with food, beverages and drag racing. All registered drivers must have a current NASA membership.(available for purchase through your NASA profile - $79 for the year). HPDEIf you are interested in learning the basics of High PerformanceDriving or simply want to drive your car on a racetrack in a controlled andprofessionally staffed environment, then NASA’s High Performance Driving Eventis for you. NASA HPDE gives you a chance to test your skills and learn fromNASA's pool of experienced instructors at a venue designed for safe, spiriteddriving far away from the risks present on the street. Our HPDE program hasbecome the standard for the 'open track' industry and features multiple skilllevels to ensure that you are able to enjoy a safe and fun day at the track. HPDE 1: If you've never been on track before orwould like to be guaranteed an instructor, sign up for HPDE 1. We do not renttransponders for HPDE 1. Selecting the HPDE 1 option automatically assigns youan instructor. Please do not select the instructor option. No passengers willbe permitted in this group other than your instructor. HPDE 2: Drivers that have been signed off todrive on their own but want more time at HPDE 1 speeds and skill level. So,Group 2 is Group 1, but with no instructor assignment. We do not renttransponders for HPDE 2. No passengers will be permitted in this group. HPDE 3: Saturday will work up to additionalpassing by the end of the day. Sunday will be a continuation, starting withlimited passing and then picking up pace and passing areas in subsequentsessions. This should better prepare drivers for Group 4. Sunday only entrantsshould be aware of this. Passengers may be permitted in this group if you havebeen approved by the HPDE leader. All passengers must be 18 years of age orolder. HPDE 4: Advanced drivers with open passingskills. All HPDE 4 drivers who are new to NASA must be pre-approved by theChief Instructor before being allowed to drive in HPDE 4. Passengers may bepermitted in this group if you have been approved by the HPDE leader. Allpassengers must be 18 years of age or older. Additionally, all driversregistering for HPDE4 must be pre-approved by the group leader prior to theevent. Time Trial (TT)In NASA Time Trial competition, anything goes, from prototyperacecars and converted production cars to the current crop of electric cars.Weight-to-horsepower ratios make for fair classes and lots of creative freedomto build the car you want. RacingThe Regional sprint race series is offered as a fun, friendlyenvironment with emphasis on good sportsmanship and clean competitive racing. You must have a current medical on file with NASA as well as a2026 Competition License to participate in any racing event. If you don’t havea valid license or approved medical, you will not be able to participate in anywheel-to-wheel racing. You can drive in any TT or HPDE session. You can find the NASA Club Codes and Regulations (CCR) as wellas individual class rulesets HERE. Additionally, all driversregistering for race group must be pre-approved by the race director prior tothe event. If you have not participated in a NASA race group event within thelast two years and do not have a NASA Competition racing license, you MUSTe-mail jperry@drivenasa.com forscreening and approval. New Racer Competition School'New Racer Competition School is for advanced HPDE drivers ordrivers who have previous racing experience but have never participated withNASA to get their NASA Provisional Racing License. Ifyou are interested in getting your NASA race license, please follow the stepsbelow: Create a NASA profile HERE Fill out a NASA Provisional License Application (include driving history and which vehicle you plan to participate with at NASA events). Wait to hear back from Danielle Perry or Jason Perry before registering for your first event. Once approved - drivers will register for their Racing Class (Sat/Sun) AND CompetionSchool Competition School will focus on race starts, restarts, side byside driving and review of racing flags.
