Portland Rose Cup
Fri, Jun 14th (9:00am – 8:00pm), 2013The Rose Cup is the biggest sports car weekend of the year. The Oregon Region of the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) hosts the largest event of the season, and the second longest running race in the country, for sports car road racing on the 2-mile road course. Racers from throughout the region, in a multitude of classes, will compete on all three days. Expect to see everything from ground-pounding sedans to nimble open wheel race cars, as well as a large field of vintage race cars. Two intensely competitive race classes with large fields are SRF (spec. racer Ford) and SM (Spec. Miata). The highlight of the weekend is the 52nd Annual Rose Cup, the continuation of the Northwest's most important road racing event. For more information go to ROSE CUP. Portland Historics Vintage Weekend
Fri, Jun 28th (9:00am – 6:00pm), 2013Great vintage sports car racing. The Portland Historic Races features an annual entry list of more than 250 prestigious historic race cars, representing a wide variety of manufacturers. The restored cars are divided into groups according to make, age and horsepower, where they are raced at high speeds close to or at their full potential. These races allow enthusiasts the opportunity to see race cars up close and interact with the drivers and crew. All British Field meet and Columbia River Classic
